Introduction to My Affiliate Marketing Journey
The Five-Year Question Back in 2015, the question “Where do you see yourself in five years?” seemed daunting. Now, a decade later, I’m finally taking action, influenced by ideas planted over five years ago. It’s been a long and winding road, but it led me here—to affiliate marketing.
The Seed of Salesmanship
My journey began with a simple suggestion that I might excel in car sales—a suggestion that stuck with me. My subsequent job at Teledata Express, a distributor of low-voltage cable and TV equipment, however, taught me I wasn’t suited for traditional sales. This experience was crucial, revealing both my strengths and limitations.
Discovering Affiliate Marketing
My first encounter with affiliate marketing was in 2017 when I impulsively bought a course but never completed it. Though I left the course behind, the concept lingered in my mind, kept alive through sporadic YouTube searches and fragmented learning—especially from channels like Darrel Wilson, whose clear breakdowns and tutorials slowly drew me back in.
Building a Brand
As my fascination with affiliate marketing grew, so did my desire to build a broader brand. This led to ventures in selling t-shirts, creating motivational content, and even starting a podcast. Despite these efforts, my reluctance to promote my work stemmed from a fear that it wasn’t yet perfect, or that changes might prevent it from flourishing.

Now, I’m ready to fully engage with affiliate marketing, hoping to share this journey through my blog. My goal is to create a community where authenticity and personal growth are at the forefront, helping us all to become the best versions of ourselves in our uniquely individual ways.
